Review
ReSlug review: is it the right URL shortener in 2026?
A newer shortener built around a generous free plan: 500 links, a custom domain and QR codes without paying.
ReSlug launched in 2026 as a direct answer to the Bitly pricing model, where a custom domain and analytics history sit behind a plan that costs hundreds of dollars a year. Its free plan includes 500 active links, 1,000 tracked clicks a month, one custom domain with automatic SSL, a QR code for every link, link expiration and a single link-in-bio page. That combination is not available for free anywhere else in this comparison.
The $9-a-month Pro plan ($79 billed annually) removes the link and click caps and unlocks the marketing features: geo, device, UTM and scheduled routing, A/B destination splits with weighted traffic, password-protected and click-capped links, custom social previews, branded QR codes, five bio pages and a REST API with 10 keys at 200 requests a minute. Analytics retention rises from 30 to 365 days.
Two things stand out beyond price. First, bot clicks are filtered from analytics on every plan, which Bitly, Dub, Short.io and Rebrandly do not document. Second, there are no ads or interstitials on any plan, including free. The trade-offs are a short track record and the absence of team seats, which matter for larger marketing departments.
